Jewish Studies Minor Requirements:
A minor in Jewish Studies consists of 15 credit hours in 5
courses.
Requirements include:
- Only one 1000-level course may count toward the minor (either
JWST 1010 or JWST 1250). Students are not required to take a
1000-level course for the minor.
- Up to two HBRW courses past the 2030-level may count toward the
minor. No courses used to satisfy the University's language
requirement may be used as credits toward the minor. Hebrew courses
are not required to complete the minor.
- One course must be above the 3000-level.
- All 3000- or 4000-level coursework for the minor must be taken
in residency at Tulane; courses taken abroad do not count toward
this requirement.
A minor in Jewish studies consists of 15 credits in Jewish
studies courses and must include:
- JWST 1010 - Introduction to Jewish Civilization
- as well as one course in each of the ancient, medieval, and
modern periods.
Additional Information:
The minor does not require courses in Hebrew Language. Courses
taken to fulfill Tulane's foreign language proficiency requirement
cannot be counted toward the minor.
